At its 33rd Annual Conference in Toronto, LMDA presented the 2018 Dramaturgy Driven Grant to Kate Langsdorf.
The Dramaturgy Driven Grant awards $1000 annually to support a plan hatched by a dramaturg.
Langsdorf has proposed a project called "The Context" — A Podcast for the Dramaturgy of Everything Awesome.
Launching October 16!
LMDA’s “Case study and conversation” series is an every-other-month chance to talk shop and trade notes with other dramaturgs on the central concerns and vital issues of the field. This series will provide a chance to connect with peers and practitioners from across the nation. Each call, a dramaturg will share a short, 10-15 minute case study about a recent project, followed by a broader discussion of the field-wide issues raised by that topic. What can we learn from each other, and how can we do what we do better? .
The Literary Managers and Dramaturgs of the Americas (LMDA) is pleased to announce the recipient of the 2017 Dramaturgy Driven Grant: Amy Jensen. This round of grants saw twenty-six applications and the selection process was overseen by LMDA’s Vice President of Grants and Awards, Brad Rothbart.
