Canfield is the resident dramaturg for Screen Plays in Rochester, NY. She has also worked in diverse roles (actor, director, dramaturg, box office, and stage management) in Rochester and at such Chicago theatres as Touchstone Theatre , the Chicago Dramatists Workshop, and The Goodman Theatre, as well as The New American Theatre in Rockford, Illinois. Amy holds a PhD in Theatre History, Literature, and Criticism from The Ohio State University, and has been a Visiting Assistant Professor and adjunct faculty member at area institutions such as Genesee Community College, Rochester Institute of Technology, SUNY Geneseo, and Hobart and William Smith Colleges.
