Biography
Kristin Johnsen-Neshati has taught at Mason since 1993, where she also served as resident dramaturg for Theater of the First Amendment, translated four of Chekhov's major plays, and taught courses in theater history, dramaturgy, criticism and international theater. Fellowships include Mason's Fenwick Fellowship, the Strauss Fellowship for Creative Artists, the Kennedy Center/ACTF Criticism Faculty Fellowship, and a Fulbright research grant. Education: B.A. in Russian and Theater, Swarthmore College; M.F.A. and D.F.A. in Dramaturgy & Dramatic Criticism, Yale School of Drama.
