Kia ora - I am of New Zealand Maori and Pakeha/European descent, and since 2007 a citizen of Canada. I have written over twenty original plays, and worked as a dramaturg/director to realise other writers' work for Playmarket in New Zealand and more recently in Canada. I am an instructor in Screenwriting and Communications at Capilano University, Vancouver, Canada. Some of myy recent dramaturgical work has been with new First Nations' plays at Native Earth's Weesageechak Festivals, young playwrights through The Cultch's Ignite Festival, and I regularly lead the Block A workshops for emerging scriptwriters at the PTC - Playwrights' Theatre Centre in Vancouver.
