Jihye Kim is a dramaturg and a PhD candidate in Theatre Studies at the University of California, Santa Barbara where she teaches dramatic literature, dramaturgy, theatre histories, and intro to acting. As a new play dramaturg, she has been working with several Korean & U.S. playwrights’ on their new works. Prior to moving to California, she worked as a production dramaturg in Chicago. As an ensemble devisor, she frequently works with both professional and non-professional performers on generating new materials in new mediums.
