Biography
Jacey Erwin is a dramaturg in the NYC/NJ area. From 2016-2018, she was Literary Manager at the Civilians, where she provided research and dramaturgical support for The Undertaking (NY Times Critic’s Pick, sold out run at BAM 2016 Next Wave Festival), Times Square, Rimbaud in New York, and other works currently in development. She also co-produced two seasons of the Let Me Ascertain You cabaret series at Joe’s Pub, and recruited and oversaw the Civilians’ Field Research Team.
A native Angeleno, Jacey worked in Los Angeles at Pasadena Playhouse, Alliance Repertory Company, and Theatre 68 before moving east in 2014.
Jacey holds a Ph.D. in Theater from UCLA. She has a wide knowledge of world theatre history, performance theory, and documentary theatre. She has taught at UCLA, Pepperdine University, Woodbury University, Rutgers University, and Pace University.
