Biography
Pascal Alexander Reiners is a Vancouver based artist, currently enrolled in his fourth year of theatre studies at Simon Fraser University's School for the Contemporary Arts. At SFU, Pascal has had the opportunity to study a wide range of theatrical practices, including clown, collaboration, movement, directing, and acting. His interests lie in collaborative processes that focus on the relationship between design and performance. The principles from which Pascal seeks to create are those of pleasure, physicality, and risk. He partners these principles with design and architecture to create his work. Pascal put this to practice in the Summer of 2016, when he co-founded ICC, a clowning collective with a focus on street performance. ICC aims to bring play to the street and engage with the city and its communities. Recent credits include Ron (SFU's The Unnatural and Accidental Women), Mercutio (SFU's Romeo + Juliet), The Socialite (Living Cardboard Projects' The Socialite), and Performer/Collaborator (Robert Leveroos' Between Two Rocks). Most recently, Pascal performed Between Two Rocks at World Stage Design 2017 in Taipei, Taiwan.
