Teresa Kilzi is a dramaturg and musical theatre scholar. As a theatre maker and academic, she is committed to looking at production practice and scholarship through an actively intersectional and inclusive lens. Her research focuses on dramatic and theoretical analyses of the works of Stephen Sondheim and gender performance/performativity dynamics in opera. Kilzi recently completed her Master of Arts degree in Theatre Studies from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, where she was also affiliated with the Unit for Criticism and Interpretive Theory. She also received Bachelor of Arts degrees in Theatre Studies and Music from the University of Central Florida.
