Biography
Kimberly Patterson spent more than a decade in New York City working in Off and Off-Off Broadway theaters in almost every capacity possible. As a playwright, her plays have appeared in the New York International Fringe Festival, the Orlando Fringe Festival, and the New York Musical Theater Festival; her musical, Oedipus for Kids!, is published by Samuel French and has been produced around the U.S. and in Canada. Kimberly is also is a participating 1MPF playwright. Her most recent musical, Douchenozzle, premiered at the 2017 Orlando International Theatre Festival. In 2017, she directed the world premiere production of Maura Campbell’s An Actor’s Tribute at the Edinburgh Fringe. She lives in South Florida where she teaches high school theater. She holds an MA from NYU’s Gallatin School and is pursuing her MFA in Playwriting from the Playwright’s Lab at Hollins University. Kimberly is a member of the Dramatists Guild.
