I am an artist passionate about stories, especially those heightened in theatrical performance, and the way they shape personal and community identity. My love of story telling began in childhood watching Jack Tales, Appalachian folk tales adapted into plays. Although simple in execution, the ways in which these plays have developed my understanding of community and place have been complex. I am seeking to work in brave theatre spaces that tell the stories of identity and place in communities in an effort to begin open discourse about diversity and difference.
