Mario Gomez is a dramaturg, stage and production manager, and technical designer, based in the Seattle area.
Mario has had the privilege of working with a number of theatre companies in the Western Washington area, including ACT – A Contemporary Theatre, Unexpected Productions, Latino Theatre Projects, Many Hats Theatre, Seattle Public Theatre, and SIS Productions.
Dramaturgical work is Mario’s specialty and his utmost professional passion. He believes that theater can be a powerful agent for personal and social change as it allows us to listen and empathize with others. Mario is honored to support playwrights and other theatre artists to help them share the stories that need to be told today.
Youth theater education and artistic outreach are some of Mario’s largest professional interests. He has worked in different capacities in youth productions or programs since 2009, including the theater’s program liaison, stage manager, and sound engineer.
Internationally, Mario has had the incredible fortune of collaborating with theatre artists from over 35 countries spanning all continents. Mario has performed in North and South America, Europe, and Australia. He has also had the opportunity to lead workshops on Improvisational Theatre in Peru, Argentina, Turkey, and Australia.
