Job Title
Early Career Dramaturg
Biography
Leah Erickson Webster is an early career dramaturg living in Seattle. After graduating from Cornish College of the Arts last spring, Leah took a job as a secretary. In the last year she has devoted her free time as a volunteer dramaturg of staged plays and new works, volunteer reader of play submissions for a local theatre, volunteer grant application reviewer, and weirdly lucked into a few paid performance gigs. She's on the look-out for opportunities to work professionally as a dramaturg or near dramaturgy.
Before shipping herself off to boarding school at the age of 16, Leah was a hyper-active theatre, tv and book obsessed "nerd girl" in central Minnesota. She has seen every episode of all contemporary medical television shows on major American networks from the last 15+ years. Special skills include ukulele, clown, burlesque, Breathing Co-ordination, memorizing facts from TED talks, film and TV criticism, cartwheels, reading books and then taking tests on them, french accent, writing papers, social media marketing, content creation, assisting educators and condominium association management professionals, and razor scootering.
