Charles Haugland is Director of New Work for the Huntington Theatre Company. At the Huntington, he has dramaturged for writers including Lydia Diamond, Gina Gionfriddo, Craig Lucas, Kirsten Greenidge, Ryan Landry, Melinda Lopez, Stephen Karam, Rosanna Yamagiwa Alfaro, and others. He has freelanced at Trinity Repertory Theatre and Company One. He has guest lectured on dramaturgy at Boston University, Tufts University, Suffolk University, and the Kennedy Center American College Theatre Festival. He was a 2009/2010 recipient of the TCG New Generations: Future Leaders grant for a two-year mentorship with Huntington artistic director Peter DuBois. He previously interned for Actors Theatre of Louisville/Humana Festival. He is a graduate of Illinois Wesleyan University.
