Russell M. Dembin is a theater educator and freelance dramaturg, as well as the managing editor of AMERICAN THEATRE magazine. Favorite dramaturgy credits include the Texas premieres of ALL THE WAY and THE GREAT SOCIETY at Austin's ZACH Theatre; the Drama Desk-nominated world premiere of UNDERGROUND and the U.S. debut of GBS, both at the Clockwork Theatre in New York City; and shows at Park Playhouse in Albany, NY. As graduate assistant at the Oscar G. Brockett Center for Theatre History and Criticism, he champions the role of dramaturgy in Austin and coordinates the local chapter of the American Theatre Archive Project.
